Hi, I'm Amanda and I'm the face behind the camera at AKP Branding Stories.  As you may have guessed from looking through the website, I specialise in branding photography for entrepreneurs and creative business owners.

To me, photography is about telling a story (hence the name) and is something that runs through my approach to all my shoots (including weddings and portraits under Amanda Karen Photography).  You see, the aim of an image can be to engage, inspire, educate or excite the viewer, and it does that by telling the story, or part of the story behind that image.

As a London branding photographer, I love working with entrepreneurs and creatives to create the imagery they need to increase their brand visibility, to push their business to the next level and to reach those goals, whatever they may be for their business.  You can see a variety of clients in my branding photography portfolio.

My own story starts back in 2014 when Hutch (my husband) and I first launched Amanda Karen Photography.  Photographing weddings is what ignited the storytelling aspect of photography, and I found myself capturing the story of the suppliers on the day, as well as the couple's; from the makeup artist's tools of the trade to the food the chef painstakingly created for the wedding breakfast.  As that business grew, more and more I learned hearing how others got into business, from florists through to business coaches and mentors, everyone I came across had a story but also the same issue - how to portray that in a growing visual world.  And from there grew AKP Branding Stories.

"She made me feel super relaxed to the point where it was such an enjoyable that I didn't want to end!"

- Emma Soulsby Flowers -

My approach is very much about getting to know you and your business, from the initial consultation through to planning the finer details of the shoot such as advising on what to wear and the perfect locations.  On the day of the shoot itself, I promise we will have fun!  It's about you being relaxed and at ease in front of the camera, no stuffy awkward coorporate poses here.  You can find out more on the branding photography services page.

When I'm not behind the camera, I can usually be found out and about exploring London (which is great for finding hidden gem locations), and finding the perfect brunch and cocktail places to go!  Of course, the camera comes with me on most of my outings, if not my trusty professional Canon, then sometimes my somewhat smaller and handbag friendly Fuji.
