Hi, I'm Amanda - the face behind the camera at AKP Branding Stories. In case you didn’t know by now, I specialise in branding photography for entrepreneurs and creative business owners.

To me, photography is about telling a story (hence the name), which is at the heart of every single image I create. Your pictures can engage, inspire, educate or excite your ideal clients – and they do that by telling the story, or part of the story, behind that image.

As a London branding photographer – and ambitious business owner myself - I love working with entrepreneurs and creatives, creating the imagery you need to increase your brand visibility, push your business to the next level and reach your goals.

My own story starts back in 2014, when Hutch (my husband) and I first launched Amanda Karen Photography.  Photographing weddings is what ignited the storytelling aspect, as I found myself capturing all the stories on the day – the couple themselves, but also the suppliers, from the makeup artist's brushes to the chef painstakingly creating the wedding breakfast.

As that business grew, I loved discovering how others got into business, from florists to business coaches and mentors. Everyone had a story, but also the same challenge - how to portray that in a growing visual world. And AKP Branding Stories grew from there.

"She made me feel super relaxed to the point where it was such an enjoyable experience that I didn't want to end!"

- Emma Soulsby Flowers -

My approach is very much about getting to know you and your business. From our initial consultation to planning the finer details of your shoot (like locations & what to wear), it’s a deeper relationship than most photographers. But I truly believe it’s essential, to capture the essence of you and your brand on camera.

On the day of your shoot itself, I promise we’ll have fun! We need the real you in your photos, to connect deeply and authentically with your audience. And it’s my job to make you feel relaxed and at ease, to allow that to happen.

When I'm not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me exploring London (great for discovering hidden gem shoot locations) and finding the perfect brunch and cocktail places to visit!  And yes, I normally can’t resist leaving my camera at home – if not my trusty professional Canon, then at least my more handbag-friendly Fuji.
