Cardiff Brand Shoot with Tech Expert Kerry Moorse
Back in January, I headed off on an early morning train for a double Cardiff brand shoot! I was working with both Tech Expert Kerry and Fertility Expert Louise (who’s shoot I’ll share with you next week) as both needed images for their websites and social media as part of a brand refresh.
I normally only photograph one business/brand within a session, however this provided a way for both Kerry and Louise to feature as “clients” within each other’s photos as well as a bit of moral support for their first shoots!
Finding the right locations for shoots is always a crucial part of how I work, it sets the tone for the shoot and provides so much context as well as giving an insight into a brand. In London, I spend a lot of time exploring and walking the streets to find hidden gems. When the shoot is further afield I don’t have that luxury, but the location scout is still important, so instead I scour instagram and google, virtually walking the streets using street view! And so, in addition to some office/home shots, we were able to find some great locations, and even an on brand instagramable cafe they never knew existed!
The aim of the shoot was to show behind the scenes of how Kerry works, from being at home catching up on the sofa, to working in her home office where she even has a walking desk to keep those steps up (especially important when you are a computer based business!). But also, by showing Kerry out and about, we can show that she can work from anywhere, giving her the freedom she desires and what many of her clients do too.
